ARTIST BIO:
MATT GLISTA

After hearing Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” for the first time back in 8th grade (2003), I began teaching myself to play guitar. I resurrected my dad’s cumbersome 12-string acoustic from a dusty closet and put my fingers to work.

Since then I’ve written and recorded over 100 songs between my solo project ‘Mista Glista’ and bands The Bubbs, The Sun Spots, & Bum Jukebox.

I’ve also played over 100 live shows over the last 15 years, including performances for Taste of Chicago, Hard Rock Cafe, & SoFar Sounds.

My goal for 2026 is to release a music production course that enables anyone to craft their own songs and work with me to bring their sonic ideas to life in a fun, inspiring way. My degree is in Elementary Education, and I’ve always been passionate about sharing my skills with others.
